About Me 

I am a member of the North Florida chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators. 
I took art at Belhaven College and have a BA in Christian Education from Belhaven College in Jackson, MS. I also have an MDiv. from Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson, MS.  In addition, I have completed doctoral work at Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando, FL. I retired after serving 20 years as a Chaplain in the US Navy and am a board-certified member of the Association of Professional Chaplains and ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America. I am a Third Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate and a dojo charter holder from the All Okinawan Shorin Ryu Kenshin-kan Karate and Kubudo Federation.


I provide seminars for schools on drawing and drawing silly faces with numbers 0-10. My work is available at the "Golden Pineapple" in St. Mary's, Georgia, and Mary Mahoney's in Biloxi, Mississippi, at the once a month ArtWalk in downtown Jacksonville, Florida and on Amazon.com and Cafepress.com.  Please send me a note on my contact page for additional information.


I am married to Carol and have two married sons, Jonathan (Susannah) and Stephen (Mary) and also two Chihuahua puppies, Morgus and Tricksie.
